FELIX Kids Trapeze with Rings

The FELIX Trapeze with Rings is an indoor swing for kids that works three ways in one. A smooth beechwood bar sits between two teardrop gymnastic rings, hung from a secure overhead point, so your child can grip the bar, hang from the rings, or sit and swing while lifting their own weight.

The trapeze suits children from around 3 years and holds up to 60 kg. The bar measures 500 mm across, and the rope adjusts from 1.3 m to 2.1 m so you can set it to your ceiling height. One child should use it at a time, always under adult supervision.

Wooden rope locks and nylon straps let you set the ropes anywhere between 1.3 and 2.1 metres, and screw-lock carabiners connect the fittings. Fix it only to a structural joist or a rated swing frame, never to plasterboard alone, and leave clear space all around so nobody knocks the wall or furniture.

Hang from the two teardrop rings, grip the wooden bar for pull-ups, or sit on the bar and swing back and forth. Each option has your child moving their own body weight, which quietly builds grip, shoulder and core strength, balance and a better sense of where their body is in space.

Safety comes down to how you hang it and how you watch it. The beechwood bar and rings are finished with a non-toxic lacquer, BPA-free and lead-free, with a smooth surface and no sharp corners. It holds up to 60 kg, and one child should swing at a time.

Before every session, check the knots, wooden rope locks and screw-lock carabiners, and make sure the anchor above is solid. Keep a clear landing area underneath, ideally over a soft mat or rug, and stay close while your child plays.

For a child who is forever climbing the furniture, yes. The trapeze gives that urge somewhere to go, building real upper-body strength and coordination through play rather than drills. Because the rope adjusts and the frame takes up to 60 kg, it stays useful from the preschool years well into primary school.

Hanging, gripping and swinging feed what therapists call the vestibular and proprioceptive senses, the systems that tell a child where their body is and how it is moving. Regular practice builds core strength, balance and body awareness, which carry over into sport, handwriting and simply sitting still at the table.

The solid beechwood bar and rings take daily gripping and swinging in their stride, and the adjustable rope means you can raise it as your child gets taller. With a 60 kg limit, it carries a growing child for years, and it packs down quickly if you need the space back.
