Expand your bookshelf into an interactive play and learning station with the ROBI 4-Piece Magnetic Steel Drawing Board Set. Pressed from solid sheet iron with a uniform, non-glare matte powder coating across both black and white finishes, each panel features a fully magnetic surface ideal for magnetic tiles and early learning sets.

The set includes 4 identical-material panels, 2 matte black and 2 matte white in two progressive sizes, that screw directly into the bookcase framework through pre-drilled side slots for wobble-free stability.

Description

Designed as a modular add-on for the ROBI Rotating Bookcase, the ROBI 4-Piece Magnetic Steel Drawing Board Set brings drawing, writing, and magnetic play smoothly to your child's reading nook.

Every panel in this set is pressed from heavy-duty sheet iron with an eco-friendly, premium matte powder-coated finish. Rather than mixing different textures or plastics, both the black and white boards share the exact same sturdy metal build and smooth, non-glare matte texture, differing only in colour. This uniform surface provides reliable scratch resistance, reduces visual glare, and cleans easily with a damp cloth or felt eraser.

The continuous metal base naturally holds magnetic building tiles, alphabet letters, and notes firmly in place. Children can sketch with chalk on the black boards or write with suitable markers on the white boards. Mounting screws pass directly through precision oblong side slots into the wooden bookcase framework, keeping every board completely stable and slip-free during 360° spinning. Finished with smooth, burr-free rounded corners to ensure safe everyday use.

For indoor domestic use only.
Always ensure the boards are mounted securely to a stable, level bookcase before use.
Regularly check that all mounting screws and fittings remain securely tightened.

Wipe clean with a soft cloth lightly dampened with water or a felt eraser, and dry immediately afterwards.
Store in a cool, dry environment.
Avoid permanent markers, alcohol-based cleaners, harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and excessive moisture to protect the matte finish.
Please refer to our Product Care & Safety page for cleaning, storage, and maintenance recommendations.

Full-Surface Magnetic Play on Solid Steel

Pressed from solid sheet iron with a non-glare matte finish, each panel provides a continuous magnetic canvas to hold building tiles, letters, and learning cards firmly in place. The heavy-duty, shatterproof metal construction resists bending and wear, creating an ultra-durable canvas for daily active play.

Dual-Tone Matte Canvas for Chalk & Markers

Featuring 2 blackboards and 2 whiteboards of identical matte texture, all panels universally accommodate standard chalk, liquid chalk, and dry-erase markers. Each stain-resistant surface wipes completely spotless with a felt eraser or a damp cloth without leaving ghosting marks behind.

Screw-Locked Security with Child-Safe Rounded Corners

Dedicated screws pass directly through precision side slots into the wooden framework, locking each board firmly in place with zero slipping even during rapid 360° rotation. Carefully deburred edges and smooth rounded corners eliminate sharp points, keeping everyday handling safe for small hands.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the ROBI Magnetic Drawing Board Set?

It is a set of four magnetic steel boards that mount onto the ROBI Rotating Bookcase, adding drawing, writing and magnetic play. There are two matte black boards for chalk and two matte white boards for dry-erase markers, in two sizes.

How do the boards attach?

Each board fixes to the bookcase frame with screws that pass through side slots, so it sits flat and wobble-free and stays put while the bookcase spins. Light adult assembly is needed to mount them, and it is worth checking the screws stay tight over time.

What can my child draw or write with?

Use standard chalk or liquid chalk on the black boards and dry-erase markers on the white boards. The whole steel surface is magnetic, so it also holds magnetic tiles, letters and cards. Wipe each board clean with a damp cloth or felt eraser, and avoid permanent markers.

Are the boards safe for children?

The panels have smooth, deburred and rounded corners with no sharp points, and a non-glare matte powder coating. Keep chalk and markers for supervised use, and store loose magnetic pieces away from babies. Browse the playroom range for more.

What sizes are the boards?

The set has two small boards at 310 by 250 mm and two large boards at 370 by 310 mm, with one black and one white in each size. Together they let you mix black and white across the sides of the bookcase.

Do I need the bookcase to use them?

The boards are a modular add-on for the ROBI Rotating Bookcase and mount onto its frame, so they are used with the bookcase rather than on their own. They are sold separately from the bookcase.
