NALA Adjustable 3 Layer Storage Shelf

The NALA is a three-tier, open-front kids bookcase and storage shelf in one. Each of the three solid-wood shelves can sit flat for baskets and toys, or tilt to show book covers face-out at your child's height, so the same unit works as a reading nook and a toy store.

The NALA works from around 12 months, when a toddler starts fetching their own board books, through to the early school years. Because each shelf moves and can be angled or flat, it keeps pace as your child's things shift from chunky first books to paperbacks, puzzles and craft baskets.

Each of the three shelves lifts out and repositions, and each can be set flat or on a gentle tilt. Tilt a shelf to display picture books with the covers showing, or lay it flat to hold baskets, toys and games. You can mix the two, so one shelf shows books while another stores gear.

The NALA is solid FSC-certified rubberwood with a smooth, non-toxic varnish and softly rounded edges. It is freestanding, so stand it on a level floor and load the heavier books and baskets onto the bottom tiers to keep it steady.

The timber finish is independently tested to AS/NZS ISO 8124-3:2021 for the migration of heavy metals, so the surfaces your child touches are checked against the material safety limits of the Australian toy standard.
