Description
Inspired by London's famous red telephone box, the OLI Library Revolving Bookcase transforms book storage into an interactive experience that encourages children to explore, discover, and fall in love with reading.
A smooth 360° rotating base lets children easily browse all four sides of the bookcase, keeping hundreds of books within easy reach while encouraging independence and tidy habits. Holding up to approximately 350 books, its clever vertical design provides exceptional storage without taking up valuable floor space, making it perfect for bedrooms, playrooms, classrooms, libraries, and reading nooks.
Thoughtfully designed for growing collections, the adjustable shelf dividers can be repositioned to accommodate everything from slim picture books to larger storybooks and annuals.
A convenient side display shelf keeps current favourites within easy reach, while the built-in drawing scroll across the top provides a dedicated space for doodling, writing, and creative expression.
Four rounded wooden pegs offer a handy place to hang backpacks, hats, costumes, or everyday essentials.
Handcrafted from premium solid beechwood through 36 carefully considered manufacturing processes, the OLI is finished with a smooth, non-toxic wood-wax oil that enhances the natural beauty of the timber while providing lasting durability for years of everyday family use.

I spent a long time (about a year) deciding about this bookcase because I wasn’t sure of the price tag for a child’s bookcase that will eventually be grown out off, BUT this bookcase is soo beautiful and 100% a keep for the grandkids piece. It fits sooo many books on, is the perfect weight for my 3 year old to spin around without it going flying and it just looks stunning! The only tiny downside is the shelves on the outside aren’t big enough to display the lonely planet kids books and they only fit lying down on the inside. I appreciate most kids books aren’t that big though! Absolutely beautiful bookcase and I couldn’t be happier! 100% if you are debating buying this because of the price, it is sooo worth the money!
We bought this bookcase for our one year old who loves books. The craftsmanship is amazing and it makes a stunning statement piece. Very functional with good shelf heights and features for all books big and small. I’m hoping it will last a lifetime time and that she will cherish it more and more as she grows older.
Bought this for our little girl, it looks beautiful in her bedroom and am sure she will have it for many years to come and hopefully pass it down to her children as it is a beautiful, strong, well made piece of furniture. Worth every penny we paid.
Love this revolving bookcase. It fits beautifully in the corner of my son’s room. It was fairy simple to put together. The quality is amazing and I can see this bookshelf lasting years and years.
I let the team know our top shelf was broken and the top hinged door doesnt close, but now they want me to measure all the parts after already trying to dissassemble and reassemble. While the product itself looks great, it is a shame the parts are broken and don't fit together.
Good afternoon Emily,
Thank you for your feedback, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.
The troubleshooting steps we had previously requested were intended to help us properly identify the issue and ensure we provided the correct solution or replacement parts, as the outer boxes containing the batch numbers had been discarded. We wanted to avoid sending replacement parts that may resulted in compatibility issues with your current parts.
We completely understand that measuring and disassembling the product can be inconvenient, especially while busy parenting. Following your recent email, we also provided an alternative solution privately to help minimise any further delays.
We are currently waiting for your confirmation and look forward to resolving this for you as quickly as possible.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the OLI bookcase shaped like a London telephone box?
The OLI takes its look from London's red telephone box, which gives a bedroom or playroom a bit of character while it stores books. Behind the styling it is a working kids bookcase that spins a full 360 degrees, holding up to 350 books across four sides that a child can turn and browse.
What age and height is the OLI suited to?
Standing 1200 mm tall on a 600 mm base, the OLI keeps every shelf easy to reach for children from around 18 months up through the school years. Younger readers browse the bottom rows while taller children reach the upper shelves, and the whole library turns to bring each side to them.
How does the OLI rotate and hold so many books?
The bookcase sits on a rotating base, so a light push turns it smoothly and a child can reach all four sides from one spot. Its vertical, four-sided design stacks up to 350 books over a small footprint, which stores a big collection without spreading across the floor.
What are the drawing scroll and display shelf for?
A paper roll runs across the top of the OLI, so a child can pull down a fresh sheet to draw or write whenever the mood strikes. A side display shelf holds current favourites face-out, and four rounded wooden pegs give backpacks, hats or dress-up costumes a place to hang.
Can the OLI shelves change to fit bigger books?
Yes. The shelf dividers reposition, so you can widen a section for tall annuals and picture books or narrow it for slim paperbacks. As your child's collection shifts, you rearrange the dividers to suit rather than being stuck with one fixed layout. Slim board books and larger storybooks both find a home.
Is the OLI stable and what is it finished with?
The OLI is built from solid beechwood on a wide 600 mm weighted base, which keeps its centre of gravity down so it stays upright as a child spins and loads it. The finish is a non-toxic wood-wax oil over rounded edges. Stand it on a flat floor and keep the fittings tight.
Is the OLI worth it as a statement piece?
Beyond the telephone-box charm, the OLI earns its place as storage. It spins to bring 350 books to hand, keeps covers facing out so a child chooses for themselves, and adds a drawing scroll and display shelf on top. Solid beechwood handles years of daily spinning, loading and unloading.
How do I get my child excited about reading?
Young children pick books with their eyes, so what they can see matters. A rotating bookcase keeps covers facing out at their height and turns choosing into a small adventure of spinning to find the next story. Swapping a few titles onto the display shelf each week keeps the library feeling new.
