AURORA Toddler Island Chair

The AURORA island chair is a tall kids dining chair that lifts your child to kitchen island or breakfast bar height. With eight seat heights and eight footrest positions plus an included five-point harness, it lets a younger child join meal prep and family life at bench level, safely and comfortably.

It is recommended from around 3 years and holds up to 50 kg. The seat raises through eight heights from 670 mm to 790 mm, well above a standard dining chair, to meet island and breakfast bar tops. The five-point harness and high sides give a younger child extra security at that height.

The seat moves between eight heights and the footrest between eight, and the seat slides for depth. Set the seat so your child sits level with the bench, feet flat on the footrest. Fit the five-point harness for a younger or livelier child, and recheck the settings as they grow.

Because it sits high, the island chair includes a five-point harness, high wrap-around sides and a wide, balanced base rated to 50 kg. It is solid rubberwood with a non-toxic, water-based varnish, and is for one child at a time under adult supervision.

The AURORA is independently tested to BS EN 17191:2021, the European safety standard for children's seating, which covers the stability and strength of the frame in real use.

The island is where a lot of cooking and family talk happens, but it is built for adults. Lifting your child to that level lets them stir, snack and join in rather than watch from below. A chair made for the height, with a harness and footrest, does that far more safely than a stool.

A bar stool has no back, no harness and no footrest, which is a lot to ask of a small child at height. The AURORA adds all three and adjusts as they grow, so it holds a young child securely at the bench for years rather than being a perch they can slip off.

Eight seat and footrest positions cover a wide span, and the 50 kg rating leaves room to grow, so the chair keeps meeting the bench as your child gets taller. The solid rubberwood frame is built for daily use through the early years and beyond.

Wipe the timber and the vegan leather cushions with a soft, barely damp cloth, then dry them off, and clear spills promptly to avoid staining. Keep bleach, alcohol-based cleaners and abrasive pads away from the leather and varnish, and store the chair out of direct sun and heat.
