LOLA Adjustable Learning Tower

A learning tower is a raised, enclosed platform that lifts a young child up to bench height so they can stand safely beside you. The LOLA gives your child a stable place to see and join in what is happening on the counter, from baking to washing up, instead of watching from the floor.

The LOLA suits children from around 12 months, once they can stand steadily on their own, through to about 6 years. For children under 100 cm tall we recommend keeping both safety rails fitted, and the two platform heights mean the tower still fits a taller preschooler.

The standing platform sets at two heights, 472.5 mm or 367.5 mm from the floor, so you can match it to your child and your bench. Moving it is a simple job with the tower unloaded. The platform itself measures 395 by 397 mm, giving both feet room to stand with a rail on each side.

Safety sits at the centre of the design. The LOLA holds a weight capacity of 100 kg, with rounded corners, two removable safety rails and four side stabilisers with rear support.

The LOLA is independently tested to AS/NZS ISO 8124-1:2023 for mechanical and physical safety, AS/NZS ISO 8124-2:2023 for flammability, and AS/NZS ISO 8124-3:2021 for the migration of heavy metals, so the platform your child stands on meets the Australian toy safety standard.

For many families it earns its place quickly. A learning tower turns cooking, baking and washing up into something your child does alongside you rather than watches, which builds practical skills and independence. Because the LOLA adjusts as your child gets taller, one tower covers several years rather than a single stage.

Toddlers copy the people they love, and the kitchen is where a lot of family life happens. Wanting to stir, pour and press buttons is a healthy sign your child is ready for real tasks. Giving them a safe way to reach the bench turns that urge into learning instead of a scramble onto a chair.

Most children use a learning tower from their first confident steps until they no longer need a lift to the bench, often around five or six. The two platform heights and the 100 kg capacity mean the LOLA keeps up across that whole stretch, and the plywood build is made for daily use.

Adult assembly is required and the tower arrives flat with the fittings you need. To clean it, wipe the plywood with a damp cloth and dry it off, since the water-based paint is BPA-free and lead-free. Store it somewhere airy and avoid covering the wood so it can breathe.
