Foldable Learning Towers

The furniture that earns its place isn’t bought once and forgotten — it’s woven into the ordinary hours. The learning tower that lifts a toddler to the bench for weekend pancakes. The table and chairs where the morning banana gets peeled and the afternoon drawing gets done. The Montessori bookshelf a child returns to at bedtime, choosing a story on their own. Since 2021, more than 30,000 Australian families have made MyDuckling pieces part of breakfast, homework and independent play.

They aren’t bought for the occasion. They’re built for the routine.

Our pieces share a quiet quality: they look like furniture, not plastic playthings. Clean lines, warm solid rubberwood and neutral, water-based finishes let each piece settle into an open-plan kitchen, a shared living room, or a small apartment where everything is on show.

Founded in Melbourne by parents who wanted furniture they wouldn’t have to hide, we design for the way families actually live — child-height, always within reach, and calm enough to leave standing in the middle of the room. Pieces like our kids table and chairs create a dedicated corner for focused play, while a learning tower brings your child safely into the heart of the kitchen. They lift the look of a room while they grow a child’s independence.

The pieces a child climbs on, leans against and chews deserve more than a vague promise. Every MyDuckling piece is independently tested to the Australian and New Zealand safety standards — AS/NZS ISO 8124 for mechanical, flammability and chemical safety — and to EN71-3 for the migration of harmful elements.

They’re crafted from responsibly sourced, FSC-certified wood and sealed with a water-based, low-VOC varnish that is BPA-free and lead-free — so the surfaces little hands touch every day stay genuinely non-toxic. Every piece is backed by our 2-year structural warranty. These are the assurances that matter most on the furniture children stand on, climb, sit at and explore.

The furniture families recommend is the furniture that keeps up. Our learning towers adjust through three platform heights; our dining chairs rise and lower with a growing child, from the first supported sit to the confident six-year-old. One well-made piece can carry a child from twelve months to well past their first day of school — and then, still solid, be handed down to the next.

Rather than replacing furniture a child outgrows in a season, families invest once in foundational pieces that support independence for years, across siblings and stages. Loved hard, and made to be handed on.
